Abstract：Abstract：This paper presents a quantitative study of research foci and trends in the field of Multimodal Discourse Analysis. A total of 196 contributions published in linguistics-related journals indexed in SSCI during the years of 2004–2015 are analyzed. The results show that the foci are Speech, Gesture, Visual, Interaction, Identity, Semiotics, Systematic Functional Grammar, Computer-mediated, Context, and Metaphor. Based on the top 10 keywords of recent 3 years, the author analyzes the trends of Multimodal Discourse Analysis.
