Abstract：Abstract: Lorraine Hansberry’s drama A Raisin in the Sun is a realistic work which requires multiple interpretations. The metaphorical story and characters in the play are embodiment of American black people’s yearning for equality and mutual development, hence the conception of community which can be interpreted from the dimensions of gender, politics and culture with profound realistic significance.
