Abstract:Abstract: In Underground, Don DeLillo points to environmental problems with garbage narrative as a means to expose ecological crisis, criticizing the anti-ecological nature of capitalist mode of system and production, and also brings enlightenment to the redemption of capitalist society through Junk art. The disaster of garbage has fundamentally exposed the contradiction between human beings’ understanding and dealing with the relationship between man and environment. Garbage siege and its infringement of human health are the ecological consequences of the principle of capital accumulation and "profit first", and the capitalist mode of production cuts the intrinsic connection between man and nature, exacerbating the alienation between man and self, man and others, man and society. Only adhering to the ecological socialist views of world, labor, consumption and happiness can fundamentally solve today's ecological problems.
