Abstract:Abstract: Political linguistics established as a discipline needs to be based on its philosophical foundation. Taking anthropocentrism as its research paradigm, integrating rational epistemology with the empirical as its point of departure, and borrowing the concept of language ontology within philosophical hermeneutics, we have founded the philosophical foundation in the perspective of philosophical hermeneutics for political linguistics and formed the dialogical triads among the subjects, namely human, language and political world. On the basis of the above, this study proposes the linguistic and the political views of political linguistics respectively. The former holds that text-centeredness, theory of meaning construction, and intertextualism together with dialogism should be its ontology, epistemology and methodology, while the latter maintains that discourse-centeredness, theory of discourse construction, and discourse practice should be its ontology, epistemology and methodology. Hence, the theoretical framework and analytic tool of political linguistics are formed, taking political text and political discourse as the center or basic units, adopting text analysis and discourse analysis as the basic methodology, and conducting a descriptive and explanatory study on the covariant relationship between language and politics at both linguistic and political levels. In essence, the political linguistic studies aim to reveal the symbiotic relationship between the offline power and knowledge through online political text and political discourse as well as the symbolized relationship of refraction and mapping in terms of ideology.
