在经济全球化浪潮的推动下，翻译市场需求膨胀，翻译项目日趋复杂，计算机辅助翻译（CAT）技术和工具应运而生。本文首先分析了不再适应社会发展需要的传统翻译模式面临的重重困境，然后以一个典型的网站项目为例，阐述了以SDL Trados为代表的计算机辅助翻译技术在现代翻译项目中不可或缺的作用。文章最后指出大力发展和普及计算机辅助翻译技术对于翻译的产学研以及国家语言能力建设都具有重要的战略意义。

Driven by the sweeping wave of economic globalization, the rapid expansion of translation business and the increasingly complex translation projects have given rise to the rapid development of CAT technology and tools. This paper first analyzes the prominent problems of the traditional translation mode which can no longer meet the needs of social development. Following a typical website translation project, this paper then elaborates the indispensable role that CAT technology plays in modern translation projects, and generalizes that it is of great strategic significance to develop and popularize CAT technology in facilitating translation industry, education and research as well as the building of national linguistic competence.
