近二十年来,在中国文化走出去的国家战略背景下,我们的典籍翻译实践和翻译理论研究受到广泛的重视,取得了令人瞩目的成绩,这对中华文化的复兴具有深远的现实意义和历史意义。但与此同时,我们的典籍翻译也存在一些亟待搞清楚的问题,比如,为什么译？译给谁看？应译什么？由谁来译和怎么译？译本怎么出版发行和评估？所有这些问题其实都直接影响到典籍传播的有效性。尽管个别学者对有些问题曾经提及,但未进行深入研究。因此,本文将围绕这些问题展开讨论以期进一步提高中华典籍域外传播的效果。

The practice and theory study on Chinese classics translation have been increasingly emphasized against the background of the national strategy of Chinese culture dissemination with a number of surprising achievements in the past two decades, which is of great practical and historical significance to the Chinese cultural revitalization. However, in the meantime a few puzzles need to be answered, for instance, why do we translate Chinese classics and for whom? What should be translated? How and by whom? How should the translation be published and valued? etc.. All these are actually related to the effectiveness of dissemination. Some scholars once discussed them, but not profoundly. Therefore, this paper makes a further discussion so that the effectiveness of Chinese classics dissemination overseas can be improved.
