Unity in Guidance and Diversity in Development: Interpreting Guide to the Education of Undergraduate English Majors in Chinese Tertiary Institutions: An Interview with Professor Chang Junyue
Abstract:Chang Junyue from Dalian University of Foreign Languages. As one of the experts who participated in the design of Guide to the Education of Undergraduate English Majors in Chinese Tertiary Institutions, Professor Chang expressed his interpretation of the guide and explained some of the key issues, including the characteristics of the guide, the relationship between the educational objectives, requirements and the curriculum, the significance of curriculum changes, graduation thesis and graduation (design), unified requirements and diversified development, and the possible reforms under the background of the guide. Professor Chang also explained the value and significance of the philosophy of Content and Language Integration (CLI) for the education of English majors.
