我国英语专业学生英语高频程式语的自动性发展研究

摘要 摘要:本研究使用了E-prime编程的“视觉在线语法判断任务”和“听觉在线语法判断任务”,考察了196名我国英语专业学生英语高频程式语的自动性发展规律。本研究的主要发现:(1)视觉自动性发展缓慢,前两年无显著进步,四年后才出现显著进步,反应时接近本族语者。(2)听觉自动性在一二年级基础阶段迅速提高,进步较快,是同时期视觉自动性发展进步量的三倍,但到了三四年级阶段,出现了减弱趋势。本研究为探索设二语自动性为教学目标和英专高年级听觉相关课程的设置提供了实证依据。

Abstract:Abstract: The present study utilized two experiments “visual online grammaticality judgment task” and “auditory online grammaticality judgment task” on E-Prime program, to explore the automaticity developmental patterns of English high frequency formulas of 196 Chinese learners majoring in English. The results showed: (1) Visual automaticity developed slowly. There was no significant improvement after first two-year English major instruction while there was significant improvement after four-year instruction and the Reaction Time was near that of the natives. (2) Auditory automaticity developed fast in the first two-year English major instruction with a speed 3 times as that of the visual automaticity at the same period;however, it decreased in the 3rd and 4th years. The study offers empirical evidences for exploring the possibilities of setting up second language automaticity as a teaching objective and auditory-related courses in the 3rd and 4th years.
