Abstract：Abstract: The achievements that the foreign language education in China has made coexist with its problems. The present article considers it the biggest problem to be unable to see problems. After briefly reviewing the accomplishments that have been achieved, the article mainly addresses two types of issues: one is the existing problems that need to be sorted out in the field of foreign language education research and practice, and the other is the questions that need to be taken up by domestic researchers, with a view to making concerted efforts to find out the universality and particularity of foreign language education, probe into its essence and law, take in the reasonable elements contained in foreign theories and approaches, carry forward Chinese excellent elements in terms of foreign language education and figure out the relevant problems, so as to carry out China’s foreign language education instead of that in China, build up a system of foreign language education theory and practice autonomously and independently initiated and implemented by China, and serve the national development strategy.
