Abstract:Abstract: As one of the founders of contemporary Marxist spatial theory, Henri Lefebvre has gradually developed his own theory of space from the late 1960s to the early 1970s. Using the classical Marxist critical theory of political economy as a weapon, he has established the spatial theory centered on the reproduction of production relations in the practice of space in capitalist society and criticized roundly the new capitalist society based on his spatial theory as a "totality". Moreover, he creatively put forward the concept of "production of space" with the reproduction of social production relations as the core, and took the new situations, new contradictions and new crisis in the development and change of capitalist society as his specific critical target, thus promoting the new development of Marxist theory in contemporary western society.
