Abstract：Abstract: The article is a bibliometric analysis of the knowledge domain of contemporary international translation studies. It is supposed to be complementary to traditional literature review through the application of modern data analytic techniques to the knowledge structure of translation studies. Based on the citation data of 9,666 articles published between 2000 and 2019 in academic journals listed by the SCI, SSCI and/or A&HCI, the authors investigate and visualize the knowledge domain, i.e. the research fields and subjects, core literature, development of theme clusters and the most recent trends in the research of translation studies during the time span, which hopefully will be of reference value for translation researchers in China.
